Nutrition/Food for Families

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) (800) 942-3678 - WIC Clients are: Pregnant women, Breastfeeding women, Infants, Families with children younger than 5 years old.  Must meet eligibility requirement. 

 

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) - SNAP provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of needy families so they can purchase healthy food and move towards self-sufficiency. 

 

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) - To be eligible for this benefit program, applicants must be a resident of the state where they apply and a U.S. citizen, legal alien, or qualified alien. You must be unemployed or underemployed and have low or very low income. You must also be one of the following: Have a child 18 years of age or younger, or be pregnant, or Be 18 years of age or younger and the head of your household. TANF provides cash payments to help families pay for food, clothing, housing, and other essentials.
