Families in Crisis (254) 773-7765 – Provides shelter, housing & support services for the homeless, veterans & survivors of family/sexual violence.  (Locations in Temple, Copperas Cove, and Killeen).

Center for Hope – The Center for HOPE provides comprehensive services for adults and children living with an illness, grieving a loss, or coping with a trauma.

Counseling and Mental Health Services - Family Centers’ counseling and mental health services help individuals, groups, couples, and families resolve various personal and relationship issues.  Alcohol and substance abuse services are also offered.

The Den for Grieving Kids - The Den for Grieving Kids gives children, teens, and families a safe, caring place that allows them to explore their feelings about losing a loved one and begin healing.

Focus on K.I.D.S. (for Families of Divorce) - provides time-limited counseling for high-conflict divorcing parents to teach effective communication and co-parenting skills.

Intensive Family Preservation Program - Helps families resolve conflicts and improve parenting skills when there is an imminent risk of child abuse or neglect.

Parent Coaching and Family Counseling Program -Provides home-based parent coaching and counseling to families with children needing structure and consistency.

Parenting Workshops and Support Groups - Workshops and support groups to help with the day-to-day challenges and joys of parenting. 

Reconnecting Families Program - Intensive in-home service model following the removal of a child due to abuse or neglect.  The goal of the program is to promote and affect successful reunification and reduce the risk of further abuse or neglect.

Stamford CARES - Provides a host of services to help those living with HIV/AIDS.  Support is also offered to families and friends whose lives are affected by HIV/AIDS.

Trauma Response - Respond and assist during an array of crises.  Services are available to individuals, schools, businesses, and community organizations.

  Work-Life Solutions - Work-Life Solutions helps businesses, schools, organizations, and municipalities maximize management efficiency and employee success.

Christian Assistance Network (254) 213-7657  - Emergency eviction prevention, rent, security deposit, first month’s rent, mediation services.

 

Feed My Sheep – The Dick Hight Education Center (254) 239 – 9863 116 W. Ave G, Temple, TX – provides classes designed around personal and professional growth, including finance, occupation, life skills, divorce, anger management, chronic illness, family-oriented issues, and emotional and spiritual growth.

Feed My Sheep – Triage Days - Triage Days provide clients at Feed My Sheep the opportunity to visit several service providers they might need to work with all under one roof. By offering this consolidation of providers, we hope to make these necessary services more accessible to people who need them. Some regular participants in our Triage Days include MHMR, Superior Health Care, Veterans Homeless Healthcare, Families in Crisis, In the Zone for Veterans, Prevent HIV/AIDS Council (free AIDS/HIV testing), Workforce Solutions, Indigent Healthcare, United Healthcare, Cenikor (Drug & Alcohol foundation), Housing, and the Goodwill Learning Center.

o   Triage Days Hours of Operation: Quarterly – Every other 3rd Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Catholic Charities of Central Texas: Gabriel Project Life Center (254) 383-1452 – provides free and compassionate life-affirming services to families and individuals expecting a child or with a child ages 0 to 36 months. The Gabriel Project provides education, mentoring, and resources to help during pregnancy and the parenting journey. 


Ensuring Your Child’s Digital Safety - This site provides an online guide to help parents navigate the digital frontier. It provides guidelines and tips for protecting their children’s safety and digital privacy at all stages of life.

CARES Center (254-258-1714) - CARES Center is a community resource hub in Killeen, TX, offering basic needs assistance for families. They provide services such as emergency food pantry, household products, baby items, and support with rents and utilities. The center also offers parenting and life coaching tools. They aim to support the community through advocacy, resources, education, and aid.
