Central Texas 4C, Inc. (Head Start) (254) 778-0489 – Operates 18 Head Start centers in Temple, Belton, Killeen, Harker Heights, Troy, Holland and Copperas Cove. Applications are accepted all year. Selection is based on criteria points to ensure those in dire need are served first—no cost for eligible families.
Hill Country Community Action (Head Start) (866) 372-5167—This child development program is for children 3 to 5, including children with disabilities. It provides services for pregnant women and children six weeks to three years old. Components emphasized included education, health, and social services. The centers are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
First Church Preschool (254) 773-1812—Proudly partners with Temple ISD as part of the Texas School Ready grant program, which First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ sponsors.
