Long Response:

A. Summarize what you read about the Russian Supreme Courts most recent decision.

Their mot recent decision was to pretty much ban LGBTQ+ activism. On Thrusday doors closed and no one was allowed in besides Justice Ministry representatives and there was no defendent. Jouralists were taken into a courtroom only for the reading of the verdict. The case was confidential and no details were allowed to be disclosed, the ministry only said that authorities had identified “signs and manifestations of an extremist nature."

B. How does the fact that the hearing took place behind closed doors and had no defendant impact the decision, in your opinion?

I don't like how they didn't allow a defendant because they basically said that they don't have a say in this which i think is wrong because i think they do deserve a say and they have rights.

C. Why would Russian President Vladimir Putin want to restrict LGBTQ+ movement in Russia, according to the article?

According to the article, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized on the "traditional family values" so i think he meant that he didn't want anyone to have a different sexuality and just wanted everyone to the be the "same" when it comes to sexuality.

D. Give me your opinion on this topic?

In my opinion i think what the president is doing is wrong because he can't just ban people just because he doesn't like what their sexuality is, I think he should just learn to accept it and not ban them because they don't deserve that.

E. Do you think this is symbolic of conservative thinking, or really about Putin wanting complete control of Russian life? (don't answer with a single sentence)

I think this is about Putin just wanting control of Russia because there really is no reason to ban them and the reason that he is giving is because he doesn't like it. I think that's selfish of him and he just wants control.

F. Do you worry that this kind of thinking is starting to make its way into American thinking as well? (again, don't answer this with a single sentence)

I think maybe in some places of America there people thinking like how Putin is thinking. It's not all of America though which is good because that really wouldn't be fair to LGBTQ+ people.
