STPRI is a big school.with a diverse range of students. A number of our students are highly creative and the purpose of this site is You should know by now that being your own special way is quite embraced by today’s society, and it’s a great thing that most if not all the girls here believe that, too. But there’s also talent that purely comes from the person themself, that sticks out from many others.
And we refer to these students as our baby geniuses, well at least we do. But the sad thing is, only a selective few know about these exceptional people - who they really are and what they can create. So we, as Gemma P, are here to share their remarkable gifts and talents, and to tell their stories beyond the 4 walls of STPRI.
Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist, but the problem is how to remain an artist once he (or she) grows up,”
Once upon a time, we were all children filled with the magic of the world and seeing things in the way adults were just unable to comprehend. With little boys in their capes and little girls in their tiaras, imagination roared in our veins. However, as Picasso had mentioned, only a few had let that wisp of magic grow and manifest itself into a fiery flame until the point of adolescence.
Aisyah Hisham, one of our baby geniuses whose honesty will shake up your whole existence, started showing a passion and skill for drawing from the early age of 5. It all started when she asked her dad to draw Garfield for her, and to others it might seem like a miniscule moment in a child’s life but it was the spark that ignited the flames of passion.
“It’s like seeing my dad inspired me to just draw. It wasn’t something I wanted to improve on, it’s just that,”
Then one magical day, as our free-spirited, extra-aesthetic hero scrolled through the depths of Tumblr, she stumbled upon the greatest battle an aspiring artist would face aka trying to recreate a drawing.
With the battle won and the journey continued, our feisty hero was yet again faced with a typical teenage dilemma that led to great victory.
“I was planning to go to this concert but I didn’t want to use my dad’s money (I feel you, girl). So I thought to myself, ‘What should I sell that doesn’t require a lot of money?’ Then I came up with turning my drawings into stickers,”
Then from that moment on, our hero has been known as (drum roll) THE STICKER MASTER!!!!
Like most people, Aisyah merely wanted to leave her mark in this world. By writing a book that would be a classic, a song sung forever, and a story into a legend, each and every one of us hopes to be remembered in the way that we are, and for the things that we’ve done.
And with every sticker she gives, it’s like giving a part of herself that sticks by your side no matter what -wink wink-
We think it’s beautiful how this journey has went on from such a lazy ginger cat (no offense, Garfield) to a teenage concert and finally into something that defines a part of who she is that she can share with the world.
“I always keep in mind that if I don’t go through with the plans I want to do, I will most likely regret it until I’m 60. So even if others don’t agree with what I’m doing, if it makes me happy, it’s definitely worth the struggles of following through it.”
She was her own superhero. She had a cape around her neck, dreams in the palm of her hand and her soul tucked in her back pocket.
With pink dragons and lasagna-stealing cats,
Your outrageous pisces and capricious gemini.
