It is a fully differentiated reading programme for students that provides comprehensive data to teachers on students' lexile and reading age levels/ progression.

We have found student engagement with Read Theory to be extremely positive. They like doing Read theory because they can do it 'anywhere/ anytime' from their own personal device - often their cell phone. Also, it is free to staff and students!

To help staff and students use Read Theory some training materials have been produced including a certificate recognising student achievement Please find them below. STPRI also conducted a PLC on the effects of Read Theory. A copy of the research can be found below.

Once students have reached 10,000 KP they receive a certificate recognising their achievement!
At STPRI - Top Read Theory students were recognised for their efforts. Each class member aimed to get the top placing in the class which was announced once a week! Movie tickets were awarded to the best students at the end of the year!
