Religious Education Directory (RED)

St Philomena's vision for Religious Education mirrors the school's Mission Statement in aiming to provide holistic education to equip women for future and eternal life.  We are fully compliant with the RE Directory in Year 7 and are ahead of the schedule of implementation  for Year 8 with the RE Directory already in place. We are planning the implementation of Year 9 in the new academic year 2024-25, which  is ahead of the expected time frame.

St Philomena's follows  Source to Summit resource which supports the delivery of the Religious Education Directory.

This course takes students  through all three years of their  Key Stage 3 journey. 

The course has six modules which are delivered in line with the liturgical year:

• Creation and Covenant 

• Prophacy and Promise

• Galiliee to Jerusalem 

• Desert to Garden

• To the ends of the Earth

• Diologue and Encounter
