At the heart of St Philomena's is our shared Catholic faith, which we incorporate into the daily lives of students and staff.
Aligning with the Catholic ethos we ensure that is a meat free school on a Friday and Holy Days of Obligation celebrated in school by providing fish as a alternative option at lunchtime.
Sixth Formers have the opportunity to further deepen their spirituality by putting their faith into action in training to be a special Minister of the Eucharist. This is celebrated with a Commissioning Mass each year that family members are invited to.
Priest- Fr Antony Uche- Parish priest of St Margaret of Scotland, Carshalton Beeches celebrates weekly voluntary Mass for our whole community.
As part of our commitment to the Eucharist being the Source and Summit of Christian life, Tutor groups are expected to attend on a rota basis to celebrate Mass each week as a Tutor group.
All families are welcome.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (Benediction) is held every Monday and Friday where a tutor group anhd their Tutor is invited to attend
Fr Luke from Holy Cross Parish attends St Philomena's school Chapel every Friday to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
In addition, Priests visit the school every Advent and Lent as we prepare the hearts and minds of our student body, coimmeneratign the significant events in Christ's earthly life and their meaning and significance for our lives.
