Sancta Familia Catholic Academy Trust was established in December 2023. Sancta Familia is one of only five CAT, (listed below in alphabetical order) across the Archdiocese of Southwark supporting the Archdiocese's vision of 'forming geographically sensible families of schools'
St Philomena's is preparing for academy conversion as one of the six founding schools of Sancta Familia. Leaders and governors have worked tirelessly over the past years in support of the Archbishop's vision and the common good. We are excited by the formation of this new partnership and look forward to contributing further to the future development of Catholic education in South West London. Sancta Familia will now form part of the next chapter in the long journey and identity of St Philomena's established and successful history. This is particularly pertinent as the school draws to a close its 130th anniversary this acadmeic year having been founded in 1893.
Recognising the benefits of partnership working especially supporting the Transfer to Secondary School (TSS) process, the Sutton Catholic Primary Schools and St Philomena's work closely in partnership supporting the common good in ensuring our young people have a seamless transition of faith education.
