I am working on a goal to help the students learn how to study, not just what to study. To support this, we will begin a short nightly study routine. Each school night and weekend, students will spend about 10 minutes reviewing a different subject (reading, math, science, social Studies, English, or Religion) The focus will be on building strong study habits such as: 

• reviewing notes or vocabulary 

• practicing recalling information 

• explaining what they learned in their own words 

These short, focused study times will help students become more confident learners and improve their understanding across all subjects- without feeling overwhelmed. I am noticing a difference on the tests and class discussions of these quick study times. 

Thank you for supporting your child as they develop these important lifelong skills. Please let me know if you have any questions. 

There will be homework club this week.  The students will have dress down Valentine colors and theme on Thursday ($1 or prepaid). Friday we will be celebrating mass at 8 and always come and join us. The students will be able to pass out Valentines on Friday and enjoy a small treat - thanks to homeroom parents for organizing. Please have a Valentine for each person and they will be putting them into decorated bags.
