Welcome to 7B! I am Mrs. Margie DiLollo, and I have been a teacher at St. Jane School since 2016, teaching religion to 7th grade and math to all 7th and 8th grade students. I graduated from Seton Hall University with a BS in mathematics and hold teaching licenses in NJ and PA. I am a proud mom of four children. In addition to teaching, I also love to read and take vacations at the beach! I am an active parish member at St. Jane Frances de Chantal.
In 7th grade religion, we study the New Testament and emphasize developing our personal relationship with Jesus. Reading scripture, spending some quiet time in prayer each day, receiving the sacraments frequently, especially reconciliation and the Eucharist, and going to Mass each week help us grow in faith.
This year our school is emphasizing a different virtue to grow in each month. In September, the virtue is faith. Consider discussing your own faith journey with your children, or asking them how you can both grow together in faith. As a family, perhaps you can try praying a new prayer together this month, or spend some time together in front of the Blessed Sacrament (adoration at St. Jane Church occurs every Wednesday from 9 AM-8PM). We can look to the saints as models of virtue, and as 7th graders, we have talked about several saints we can look to in order to grow in the virtue of faith. Ask your child what they might remember about the life St. Augustine lived!
School Year Information:
Please be sure to be checking the daily Google Classroom page for Jr. High Assignments/Homework. Your child can log in each day and see each teacher's homework, upcoming tests, and keep up on missed assignments due to absences.
Families should check FACTS routinely to keep track of grades and missing assignments. We do not send test folders home in the junior high, but you can email/ask teachers about test scores and missing work.
