Loom is third-party screen recording program that is accessible, easy to use, and--for educators--free.
Though Loom is not officially supported by NYU, we often recommend it because of the quality of its recordings and the relative ease of its interface.
To take full advantage of Loom, after signing up for a free account, you'll need to submit a request for an educational account.
Loom has a number of tutorials to introduce you to it features. Check out Loom's knowledge base or, for a more condensed introduction, its Getting Started Video Tutorials.
Once you've recorded a video with Loom, you can either download it, or you can use Loom as a video host. To find out more about video hosting platforms, check out the Hosting section of this guide.
