In fifth grade students will study United States history. They will learn about ancient American civilizations, explorers, colonization, early American leaders, the American Revolution, exploration of the land, and the Civil War. Assignments will include vocabulary and reading from the chapters, assignments within the textbook, and various assessments such as tests, worksheets, and projects. Points for work will range from 5-25 points for a daily homework type assignment and up to 100 points for projects and tests. St. Stephen the Martyr's social studies curriculum is TCI Social Studies Alive.
