Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! 

    As most of you know, I am Susan Roche and I am excited to be your math and social studies teacher this year!  I am looking forward to seeing you grow even more this year.  This is my 14th year teaching for St. Stephen the Martyr.  I have been lucky to experience many grade levels and so happy that I will only be teaching 5th grade this year.

    I was raised in Massachusetts and still miss the ocean, but have discovered the great lakes are also awesome.  My favorite activity is to sit on the beach and listen to the waves, soak in some sun and read a great book.  My husband, Dave and I have 4 daughters, all married and last year we became grandparents!  We will be blessed this year with our second grandchild.  We also have a very energetic dog, Bennie.  He is a lab mix and keeps us busy with walks and playing fetch.  This summer we were able to travel back to the Northeast and visit Massachusetts and Maine., We saw family and spent some relaxing time walking the dunes and sitting on the beach.  I love to teach, read, go to movies and spend time with family.
