Goal Writing

You are asked to use the rubric to rate yourself during the year and add comments and evidence of goal completion at conferences.

Teachers were asked to write 2 goals:

A strong goal will include A + B + C = D

A - your selected Domain from the LEAD instrument (after self-analysis of ALL areas)

B - a strategy (teacher action/strategy) to grow

C - student learning and skills,

D - evidence of student success that may be displayed in Strive for summative conferences.

Example: The use of B [insert Teacher action/strategy] will increase A [Higher Order Thinking Skills (identified as a growth areas in Domain 1)] and allow student to C [analyze and evaluate collected data (what is an essential skill needed?)] as demonstrated by D [Insert student action that produces evidence]."
