April 17, 2020

Over the past few weeks, we have all found a routine and developed some habits. Now that we are back from break, I want to take this opportunity to provide some gentle reminders to all families about eLearning, especially in light of more classes being live. This is our chance as parents to "Create a Caring Moment" and help all of our children develop good, healthy work habits.

  • Create a schedule for their activities that is conducive for a school night and be going to bed at a reasonable bedtime. (Health professionals strongly encourage the removal of all electronic devices from the bedroom overnight.)
  • Student dress in virtual classrooms should be appropriate. (Students are asked to dress as if they were coming to school during a dress down day)
  • Mute microphones upon entering a live class.
  • Be mindful of the environment around them when working and in a live class. (Limit background distractions).
  • All emails and applications using the school email and domain should be for educational/academic purposes.
  • Students should also check their calendar for scheduled classes.
  • Students must sit appropriately and have the camera on their face.
  • Please no eating during class. Drinking from water bottles is allowed but it should not be distracting.
  • Students must check their email regularly.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your homeroom teacher! Thank you for everything you are doing to support us at home!
