Functional Living Skills (FLS)

The Functional Living Skills Program aims to individualize programs for a diverse group of students. Our program is able to adapt to the many personal, medical, academic, social, behavioral and inclusive needs that our students may require. Whenever appropriate and possible, students are integrated into regular activities and/or classes. We have the space and facilities to provide personal care, physiotherapy exercises, adapted computer technology, and sensory stimulation. Quality life experiences, basic functional living adaptations and work preparation for students with a variety of skills and needs are also an important component of the FLS Program. It is offered at Aden Bowman, Evan Hardy, Marion M. Graham and Tommy Douglas Collegiates.

There are three Functional Life Skills classes at Evan Hardy Collegiate.

Students range in age from 14 to 22 years. The goal is to assist students in reaching their potential for independence.
