This course has been developed for students with a keen interest in sewing beyond grade nine.
Students will complete a variety of projects including: samples, strip quilted pin cushion, apron or shopping bag, a hoodie, as well as projects of their own choosing.
Students are responsible for the purchase of supplies for their sewing projects.

This course provides students with the opportunity to continue to study in the area of food preparation.
Students are also able to earn a Food Safe Certificate, which will enhance employment opportunities.
Students will study a variety of topics including: baking basics, the Science of Nurition, grains, milk and milk products, eggs, yeast breads, cakes and pastries, food additives, salads and sandwiches.

Explore the beauty and fashion industry! Hands-on experiences to develop skills in hair care, skincare, cosmetics, and nail care techniques. Enhance your visual, creative and technical skills while applying the fundamentals of design to clothing and fashion.
Integrated content examines the relationship between mental health and physical appearance. For example, how stress affects hair, skin, and nails.
With a focus on creativity, self-expression, and artistic exploration, this course empowers students to express their unique style through colour, texture, and industry techniques while fostering confidence and personal growth.

This course is open to Grade 11 or 12 students that would like to continue developing their skills learned in Clothing 10.
Students will complete a variety of smaller sewing projects as well as a fibre arts project (weaving) and a quilt.
Students are responsible for the purchase of supplies for the majority of their projects.

Students will study fashion design from the idea stage to production, manufacture clothing projects utilizing higher level sewing skills and review how clothing is merchandised in the public sector.
Students will choose their own projects based on their previous sewing experience.
Students will develop a sample portfolio.

This course is intended to teach students to plan, prepare and serve nutritious, appetizing and appealing dishes.
Labs emphasize meals of international origin, gourmet style meals and entertaining for special occasions.
Topics of study include: Food Preservation, Soups and Sauces, Protein Foods—Meat, Poultry, Fish and Alternatives, creative baking, Saskatchewan, Canadian and international Cuisine.

This course is for the student who is interested in the creative elements of design as it relates to home interior design.
Students will learn the fundamentals of the principles and elements of design as they apply to residential interiors
Computer technology will be utilized for floor plans and design of interior spaces.
This is a project based course and as such it requires participation and design presentations
