In this course you will be introduced to technical drawings through the use of AutoCAD software.
You will learn how to create drawings of objects in multiple views and in 3D representations.
The units of study include Single View Drawings, Orthographic Projections, Pictorial Drawings, Dimensioning, and 3D Modeling.

Photography 10is an introductory course in digital photography.
Students will learn basic and intermediate camera operation, elements of composition, and will be challenged to express these skills creatively.
Graphic design and photograph post-processing with Adobe Photoshop will also be a major learning component.
Students will have access to cameras, computers and studio equipment.

In this course, students will learn about how emerging technologies of robotics and automated systems improve efficiency, increase human safety, and impact society and innovation.
Focuses of the course include Circuit-building, Electronics Components, 3D Design and Manufacturing, and Coding.
Students will gain hand-on experience with soldering, 3D printing, CNC routing, laser cutting.
Utilizing these technologies, students will work both independently and collaboratively to solve design problems in creative ways.

Graphic design 20 will focus on developing essential skills for enhancing digital communication and advertising.
Students will gain experience creating vector graphics with computer software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign in order to create products that demonstrate appealing colour, balance, and aesthetic design.
They will work to be innovative, and strive for creative and logical solutions to visual problems.
Projects will include digital logo creation, manipulating typography, web design, digital imaging, and preparing printed media. An interest in photography, illustration, drawing, and other artistic pursuits is beneficial in this course.

Photography 20 moves the student from the personal level of digital photography to more professional content.
This higher-level course is designed for students wanting to explore photography as a career.
Portfolio work focuses on subjects more relevant to being a professional in the digital photography field, such as Commercial Photography and Photojournalism.
Advanced composition and editing techniques with Photoshop are also further explored.

Theatre Arts 20 (THEA20) is a course designed for students interested in the technical aspects of theatre production.
This course covers core topics such as the roles and responsibilities of theatre production team members, the collaborative process of theatrical design and production, the history of technical theatre design, performance spaces, and safety in theatre work.
The course also offers optional modules on set design, stage properties, set construction, and scenic art.
This course is intended for self-driven, focused, and independent learners.

Graphic Arts 30 is intended for committed design students who wish to advance their skills and design repertoire to prepare to advance into the professional field.
Advertising and illustrating will be the focus through methods such as printmaking, photography, and computer software.
Students will build on their previous design skills and will have the opportunity to practice using new programs such as Adobe Dreamweaver
What you need to know:
This course will focus on the development of an individual professional portfolio.
A large component of course work will be an extended study in an area of photography chosen by each student.
More intensive work in commercial and fine art photography areas will be part of the experience.
Areas of digital retouching and composition through the use of Adobe Photoshop will be looked at in greater depth.
A personal investigation of a specific area of photography such as the history of photography, alternative processes, how to run a photography business, or other areas of interest as approved by the instructor will be covered.

Optional modules allow students to specialize in areas of personal interest, such as costume design and construction or other aspects of theatrical production.
The course is designed to nurture self-motivated learners, fostering independence and creativity.
