All students take Wellness 10 to meet graduation requirements for Physical Education.

The aim of this program is the development of a ‘wellness' philosophy and the desire for students to pursue wellness as a lifelong behaviour pattern.
Students will investigate important components of a healthy lifestyle through activity, games and theory.

What you need to know:
This course allows students to learn more about and to focus on their own health and wellness, as well as providing an opportunity to promote and encourage lifelong healthy, active lifestyles.
This course will give the students the knowledge to design, implement, measure and modify a personal fitness plan throughout the semester.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in several fitness classes offered by a variety of fitness facilities around the city.
Fitness theory and activities related to concepts being taught are the focus.
Fees are $50 for this class.

The grade 11 program emphasizes recreational activities that will give participants the basic skills and knowledge in a wide variety of activities that they may pursue as adults.
The class is co-ed and features activities such as: tennis, golf, bowling, archery, curling, broomball, ice games, racquetball, cross-country skiing, badminton, fencing, social dance, aquatics, and slow pitch.
Minor officiating and scorekeeping skills are also taught.
Since most activities are away from the school, transportation will be provided when possible.
A student fee of $125 is required to help cover the rental cost of facilities.
Assessment is based on participation, work ethic, community and leadership hours, activity hours, and a comprehensive final exam.

The class is co-ed and features activities such as tennis, golf, bowling, weight training, aerobics, badminton, fitness and anatomy, broomball, squash and racquetball, curling, social dance, down-hill skiing, aquatics, scuba, wall climbing, beach volleyball, horseshoes, tae-kwon-do, and slow-pitch.
Since most activities are away from the school, transportation will be provided when possible.
Assessment is based on a major project, practical game play, work ethic, community and leadership hours and participation.
PE 20 & 30 require some noon hour and break time for travelling to/from off campus venues.
Students planning to take Driver Education or Work Education must take P.E. 20 and/or 30 in the opposite semester of Driver Education or Work Education.
Due to the availability of facilities, we will hold some sessions over the noon hour.
What you need to know:
This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to experience a wide range of lifelong physical activities and leisure pursuits, as well as further develop personal skills, tactics, and strategies.
Focus will be placed on student leadership, and the lifetime pursuit of recreation and leisure.
Physical activities may include golf, yoga, martial arts, lawn bowling, bowling, curling, squash, tennis, badminton and others. Course material will vary each semester.
