If you are looking to build comprehension skills try using one of these activities with any book you are reading.  If you do not have a book try looking on EPIC to find something that interests you.

• Create a Character Profile from a book you have read. 

• How to create a character profile:

  • • • Draw your character in the center of your paper. Feel free to use craft materials you may have at home to make him/her come to life (If you would like you can print the template below).

      • Draw 3 lines from your character (1 from the center of the head, 1 for each arm) to divide your paper into 4 sections.

      • In the top left section make a list of what your character does to show his/her personality

      • In the top right make a list of what your character looks like on the outside

      • In the bottom left make a list of what your character says to show his/her character

      • In the bottom right tell an interesting fact about your character.

      • In the clothes use words from the character trait list to describe your character.
