How to Help Read Tricky Words
Phonics Match Ups
Use these charts below to create a phonics match up game. You can use index cards, paper, or even plastic eggs. Write letters, blend, and word familes on your materials. Spread out the pieces. Put the peices together to make words and write them down. The player who can make the most words wins.
Memory and Go Fish
Use the list below to create a Memory or Go Fish game. You can have 2 of each word as a match or 2 words with the same rule could be a match. For example beak and leaf would be a match because they both say the long e sound using the letters ea.
