Teachers regularly integrate the arts into their instructional practices. Our goal is to capture and share more of what you are doing. Here is our simple process:
Teach using an arts integrated approach to engaging students.
Document your use of the arts integrated approach.

What’s HAPPENING in 2024 - 2025?
- Implementation: Maintain and deepen engagement through arts integration.
- CAILs facilitate training and planning with grade-level teams
- Engage students in a culture of arts integration (i.e. procedures, routines, environment, etc.).
- Utilize the Spring ISD Arts Integration HUB as a primary resource.
- Maintain and expand the repository of arts integration artifacts, i.e. pictures and videos of arts integration in action.
How will engagement through an arts integrated culture look?
How will engagement through an arts integrated culture look?
- Instructional practices, processes, procedures, and routines that can be executed through an artform
- i.e. When students are transitioning between stations, they sing the chorus of a song or rhythmic chant, by the end of which they should be in their seats.
- Regular in-class performances, presentations, and/or displays of students engaging with core content through an artform.
- Principal and teacher participation in surveys *
- Student focus group *
- Cultivating arts integrated experiences by collecting and sharing artifacts (pictures, videos, student work samples, etc.)
What are teachers teaching for Arts Integration?
Teachers will follow the scope and sequence of each core subject area.
Teachers will have:
Access to a repository of arts integrated strategies and lessons to integrate with any lesson
Access to a repository of artifacts from previous years of implementation
Support in approaching arts integrated instruction through the fine arts entry point of their choice
Support in implementing arts integrated instruction, as well as and collecting and uploading artifacts
Principal and Teacher Surveys
Principals and teachers surveys serve as qualitative measures of our progress.
Student Focus Group
Student focus group interviews allow students to provide feedback about their experiences with arts integration in a moderated setting.
