The Producers and Consumers Show

Starring (Your Name)

Are you super cute? Do you love entertaining and making people smile? If so, this is your opportunity to share your talent just like the star you are! You are today’s Superstar guest on The Producers and Consumers Show and get to show what you’ve learned about producers and consumers in a fun and entertaining way. Take it away!!!

(The role of “Interviewer” is played by a parent, guardian, older sibling, etc. who can read the questions. The student is the “Superstar.”)

  1. Use the “Producers and Consumers Vocabulary List” to review with your Superstar.

  2. Look at the “script.” Go over the questions and answer choices a few times with your Superstar before you actually record.

  3. When you’re ready, set up your smartphone or other video recording device and have your Superstar get into place. The Interviewer can choose to be in the shot or read the questions off-camera.

  4. Use the “Superstar Interview Tips” to coach your Superstar on how to answer with spunk and personality.

  5. Press record, wait 3 seconds (3… 2… 1…) and let it rip! A star is born!!!

  6. When you’re finished, save your video and submit it to Schoology.

  7. You don’t have to edit your video, but it’s a ton of fun. Click the link to try it. (VIDEO)

Script

Before you start, introduce the Superstar who is being interviewed. After that, just ask the questions and allow him or her to candidly and freely answer. Have fun with it. You can come up with your own questions if you’d like.

  1. What are producers? What are consumers?

  2. Which type of person did you choose to talk about today? (Use one from the right or pick your own. Click the picture caption to print the coloring page and use it as a prop. They can also do more than one.)

  3. Is that a type of producer or consumer?

  4. Can you tell us why you feel that way?

  5. Based on what you’ve done in this PBL, can you tell why it is important to know about producers and consumers?
