Good Neighbor Puppet Show

Hi, Friends!!

One way to be a good citizen is to be a good neighbor. What ways can you think of to be a good neighbor?

CREATE A PUPPET SHOW

Use puppets to talk or sing about an example of at least one way you can be a good neighbor. Your puppet can be you or you can give your puppet a character personality (pretend to be someone else). Make sure you speak or sing clearly so your audience can understand every word you say.

STEP 1: MAKE PUPPETS

You can make puppets from just about anything: CLEAN SOCKS, PAPER BAGS, POPSICLE STICKS, RUBBER GLOVE TIPS, CARDBOARD, ETC.

MATERIALS: | GLUE or HOT GLUE | SCISSORS | TAPE

Here are some other things you may want to use: YARN | FELT | FOAM | BUTTONS | CONSTRUCTION PAPER | MARKERS | PIPE CLEANERS | POM POMS | BEADS | GLITTER | GOOGLY EYES

STEP 2: GIVE YOUR PUPPET(S) WORDS TO SAY

You can use this puppet script (click link) to write down what you want your puppet(s) to say. You can also use a plain sheet of paper. If you want, you can make it up as you go.

STEP 3: VIDEO RECORD YOUR PUPPET SHOW

Set up your smartphone or device and record your puppet(s) telling about or showing your example of how to be a good neighbor. When you are finished, save your video and upload it to Schoology. MORE FUN- You don’t have to for this project, but you can edit it for fun.
