Join us for 3 days (July 14th-16 11-3PM) of fun, competitions/co-op gaming & activities with multiple chances to win free video games!

Schedule:

  1. (July 14th): Getting started (history of gaming, starter games, how to play, etc.)

  2. (July 15th): Diversity (who can be a game/make games, who is represented in games & how, how can we make them better, etc.)

  3. (July 16th): Benefits (how gaming can teach you stuff indirectly, how gaming can make school better, and how to get an education in game design, how you can get paid to play, etc.)

Each day will consist of the following 3 activities with raffles after every one. Each activity each day will vary in length depending on attendance & attendee interest, but somehow be tied back to the theme of the day.

  1. Scavenger Hunt: teens will have to search around our site and resources we have linked to on here completing activities and finding answers and report back.

  2. Livestream: Play together together to make decisions in a video game that we will be screen sharing 1-3 games, battling each other in online multiplayer games or working together to create something in games depending on attendance and desired.

  3. Trivia competition: teens will participate in video game trivia which will include quickfire 5 minutes to answer questions about video games history, coding 101, etc. The answers to the questions will be posted somewhere on this site &/or easy to google.

Prizes:

  • Total: There will be 10 total raffles, 1 after every activity.

  • How to enter:

    • For every activity you participate in -no matter if you do well- you will get one entry for that day's raffle, & if you win during livestream, get most right answers in trivia, or complete scavenger hunt first you will get an additional entry for that day.

    • Filling out one feedback form or emailing us feedback once will also get you additional entry.

  • Prizes: Game codes to the following games- Undertale, Hollow Knight, Psychonauts, HIVESWAP: Act 1, VVVVVV, Into the Breach, Wizard of Legend, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, GNOG, Worms Revolution, A Good Snowman is Hard to Build, Speed Brawl, PAC-MAN™ CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION 2, Europa Universalis IV, & Stealth 2: A Game of Clones

Rules of Conduct:

All participants of every activity must adhere to the following rules when participating in the activities' chat room or using the forums on this site.

Please note: these rules may change at any time.

  1. BE KIND AND RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS IN THIS SERVER No bullying, harassment, abuse, or otherwise harming someone else.

  2. KEEP CHATTER CLEAN AND ORDERLY No swearing, slurs, offensive language/jokes (racist, sexist, anti-LGBTQIA+, etc.), or NSFW/lewd content.

  3. DO NOT SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION Do not disclose your address, phone number, full name, IP address, etc. in the servers channels.

  4. T.H.I.N.K BEFORE SPEAKING. That is ask yourself is it True, is it Helpful, is it Inspiring, is it Necessary, & is it Kind? If it can fit any of these it can stay, but if it doesn't please refrain from sharing it/your message will be deleted.

WARNINGS, MUTES, AND BANS

If you violate any of the above rules, you will be warned 1-3 times, depending on severity on offense, privately either by staff or the bot and your offending messages deleted in the channel(s). If you disregard warnings and continue said behavior, you will be muted. Depending on the severity of the infraction, we reserve the right to jump straight to permanent banning.

1st warning: 10min-1hr mute from the current activity.

2nd warning: Unable to participate until the next day of the conference.

3rd warning: Ineligible for prizes &/or forfeit previous prizes.

Final result: Permanent ban from participating in entire conference.
