Scratch is an online, block-based, programming software, it is community created and maintained by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab with the aim of helping teach youth how to code in a fun and easy way and provide a space for them to learn as well as share their creations with a global community. Best of all, it is completely free to all users, both the online site and the downloadable software, all you need is to sign up!
