Grades 1-3
Students who ride the bus will arrive in time to eat breakfast before beginning the day. Parents dropping off students should bring them to the back of their school.
Students will collaborate to solve an engineering design and construction problem using their critical thinking skills, teamwork, and creativity. These short challenges will start the day to help students get in an engineering frame of mind.
Students will be presented with a real world challenge that will need to be solved by designing, constructing, and programming an rover vehicle. Students will learn about the engineering design process and collaborating with their teammates.
Students will continue to design and build their robot rover to meet the challenge of finding and locating samples to test.
Lunch will be provided in the cafeteria.
You will test your robot against the course challenge to get ready for the end-of-the-week tournament. You will need all of your engineering, building, and programming skills to help your team win!
