REMIND is a communication tool between teachers & students/parents. It is necessary that student or parent is signed up to get updates on class work, venue changes, and important notices via either text or email. Each class (see the navigation bar above) will have it's own unique code to sign up with .
ID's: New School Policy - All students must have ID's visible at all times.
Self-Monitoring: Students are responsible to monitor themselves with behavior, phones, and work.
Do the right thing when nobody is looking and you will be happy with yourself, which will positively affect others. All phones must be turned off during class unless otherwise instructed. Please be mindful of Google Classroom and Remind updates by allowing mobile notifications and email notifications.
Schedule Change Request Form - only if you have no class or are doubled up in a class.
New Student Questionnaire please fill out.
Student success...Please note that... Success Comes With Sacrifice.
WHAT? In order to do what we WANT to do, we have to do first what we NEED to do. This includes doing: homework, studying for tests, working on projects FIRST and THEN rewarding yourself for doing this with what you WANT such as: video games, social media, hanging out with friends, and shopping.
How? Block out a time and place after school that is non-negotiable. This means: turn off all electronics and focus with a quality half hour to an hour EVERY DAY. If you don't have anything due, review, make study cards, do quizlet.com, read something ... anything that will contribute to your learning. And finally, get 8-9 hours of sleep by working backward from your 'get up time' and then add another hour for quiet time. No electronics one hour before bed.
There are multiple studies that confirm the above statements and will ensure the best opportunity for success.
Plan! "Plan tomorrow before tomorrow comes!" Get your clothes, lunch, breakfast and snacks ready the night before school starts. Make lists, check calendar, and get a planner. Practice makes habits, and habits make a lifestyle change. Need help? Ask me. I'd love to help you... help you!!! :)
