Network Drives
Employees have access to multiple drives on our network for the storage of digital files. On your teacher laptop or desktop, double-clicking the file explorer (on the taskbar) should show you the following drives:
H: Drive -- This drive shows your eNumber and is your personal drive. Files in this drive are only visible to you.
I: Drive -- This is the campus drive. Files placed here are visible to all employees on your campus.
G: Drive -- This is the global drive. Files stored here are visible to all CISD employees. Please be mindful before storing any information in the G: drive, and keep in mind that items are viewable, editable, and "delete-able" by everyone.
When you are off campus, you can access your Network Drives through ClassLink- My Files. This handout will show you how to Access your Network Files through ClassLink.
Wifi
Carroll has 3 main Wifi networks:
Staff: for staff only
Student: for students
Guest: for guests or students who bring their own device
We encourage staff members to connect to the Staff Wifi on laptops and mobile devices. The login to this Wifi is your eNumber and district password. Some mobile devices may ask you to trust the connection; it is safe to do so. This network has the least number of filters applied.
Students using a school-issued device should use the Student Wifi network. The device should connect automatically. If you find that that is not the case, please submit a ticket in TechHelp.
Students who bring their own device to school must connect to the Guest Wifi network. There is no log in for this.
