Review the AUP
Important points in the Staff AUP are indicated in the presentation at the bottom of this page.
For more information about the highlighted portions, view the presentation notes by clicking the gear button > open speaker notes, as shown in the image to the right.
If you have questions about any of these points, please contact your administrator or campus Instructional Technology Specialist.
Social Media
Below is information from our Carroll ISD Communications & Engagement department regarding common social media questions and proper “professional” use of social media sites.
We want our staff members to connect with our parents and community members in a social media setting. Here are some things to consider when protecting yourself on social media:
District policies to be familiar with:
The staff AUP
Technology and internet postings
Supervisor and parental permission for school-related social media accounts
Parental permission is given through the student online enrollment process. Most of our students fall into the “School Related Release” category.
If you are unsure, please contact the front office at your assigned campus.
Your campus administration will contact you if you have a student who is completely restricted.
Pay close attention to any of those students that are completely restricted (especially when taking group photos).

Software settings and protections (such as making your account private)
Keep your personal and professional accounts and postings separate.
If you are using a school related account, you may use the dragon logo. Otherwise the dragon logo is copyrighted for personal use.
