At Southborough High School, we use Unifrog as our central platform for careers education, guidance, and planning. Unifrog is a one-stop destination where students can explore career pathways, compare university and apprenticeship options, build their CVs, and prepare for the future — all in one secure, user-friendly space.
We believe that every student deserves access to high-quality, impartial careers guidance, and Unifrog supports us in delivering this promise. The platform fully aligns with key elements of our Careers Guidance Policy and Provider Access Policy, helping us meet the statutory requirements for careers education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Unifrog plays a key role in our delivery of the Gatsby Benchmarks, especially in the following areas:
Benchmark 1: A stable careers programme
Benchmark 2: Learning from career and labour market information
Benchmark 3: Addressing the needs of each pupil
Benchmark 4: Linking curriculum learning to careers
Benchmark 7: Encounters with further and higher education
Benchmark 8: Personal guidance
Every student from Year 7 to Year 13 has their own Unifrog login, and the platform grows with them throughout their time at Southborough. Whether they’re starting to think about GCSE options or writing personal statements for UCAS, Unifrog provides a structured, aspirational journey towards their future goals.
Students can compete a series of question based quizzes to ecplore their strengths and current skills. This will act as like a passport for students moving through from Year 7-13. They will be able to record and work experience, certificates or awards they recieve, write a CV and apply to university through the UCAS module. Staff can assign tasks to students to complete and Tutors can track destinations information of our students and ideas they are researching to support their next steps.
