Welcome from Southborough's Careers Advisor
Welcome from Southborough’s Careers Advisor
I am a Level 6 qualified Careers Advisor with additional qualifications in counselling, mental health and careers leadership. With over 18 years’ experience in careers guidance I am responsible for ensuring students are able to explore and get ready for life beyond the school gates. It is important that all students get to know who they are and find out where that could take them.
I am a registered professional on the CDI database and follow the code of ethics fully within my practice. I have worked in schools and colleges across the south London area and have been based within Kingston schools for the last 10 years.
Thinking about the future can be both exciting and daunting. We are all different and have aspirations and dreams, and with a solid career education, there is no limit to what that future can look like. Careers education at Southborough begins in Year 7 to inspire and encourage curiosity. By Year 9, students are more aware of how their curriculum choices can open up opportunities in the future. By Year 11, decisions are made about which of those opportunities to reach out for, and by Year 13, our students are ready to put the skills learnt and their understanding of themselves out there into the working world.
