Materials here should reflect themes addressed related to service in the self report. Consider attaching committee reports you've contributed to, awards for service, brochures or flyers publicizing campus events, unsolicited letters from those discussing your service work, etc. Because service activities are not to be included in the CV for evaluation, you might consider including a full list of service activities in this section, and then highlighting the main areas of service in your self report.
****** AN ADDITIONAL NOTE FOR THOSE APPLYING FOR PROMOTION TO FULL PROFESSOR / LIBRARIAN: ******
The 2016 bylaws now include an additional element only for those applying for promotion to Professor or for promotion to Librarian, identified as the "service letter." The description is identical for both, and reads:
"... each candidate’s file must include one letter from a faculty or staff member, supervisor, professional colleague, or other collaborator (within or outside the College community) that documents the candidate’s contribution to a particular service activity or set of activities. Generally, the candidate should choose the most significant and/or relevant service activity to be represented by this letter. Multiple letters are acceptable if there are multiple activities that the candidate feels should be highlighted, but an excessive number of letters should not be included."
Save this letter in a Google Drive Folder labelled "Service Letter(s)." Create a separate page to your Google Site titled "Service Letter" under the "Pages" menu at right, add to this page using the "Insert" menu, and select "Drive Folder."
