The Brain - Calming our busy minds
Today we were visited by SCARF and we learnt all about how the brain works and strategies on how to calm our busy minds. We learnt that being angry is ok and we can use 5 finger breathing to calm ourselves down, by breathing in when you trace up you fingers and breathing out when you trace down your fingers.
We also learnt that different things bring up different emotions for everyone. For example, an image of a dog brought up happy feelings, scared feelings, sad feelings and worried feelings.
