On Friday 4th November 2022 Year 5 took part in their own Starbooks Day! Pupils were asked to bring into school their favourite book to share and discuss with their peers.
The pupils brought a range of amazing books: The Cat in The Hat, Harry Potter, Guinness Book of World Records and The Hare and The Tortoise. From these books they then created fabulous book reviews!
As a special treat pupils experienced a live virtual talk from the author of musical truth, Jeffrey Boakye. He immersed the pupils in the black history and culture he had grown up with and talked about his experiences writing his book. The pupils then had the opportunity to ask him relevant questions.
In the afternoon pupils were given the time to get comfy, find a comfy spot, reflect on the day they have had and just read.
