Year 5 started off their Challenge Day completing a fun orienteering exercise, using the skills they learnt throughout Year 4.
Then we looked at a PSHE lesson that looked at the qualities of a good and bad friend.Â
We said that a friend is someone who:
can forgive us
we can rely on
is loyal
is honest
is trustworthy
is helpful
can keep you companyÂ
can support you
We also said that we have friends so that they can:
cheer you up
keep you company if you're lonely
make you laugh
play with you
Our third challenge activity of the day was to work in teams to create the tallest tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows. This was really tricky!
Finally, we ended the day with lots of exciting challenges including: communicating without talking, getting across the river as a team, trying to keep a ball on a hole covered sheet and building the strongest lego bridge between two chairs.Â
