Creativity and Innovation:
Students can utilize various multimedia tools to create a well-structured and engaging presentation.
Develop a multimedia presentation incorporating text, images, and audio/video elements using presentation software to showcase a researched topic.
Create, edit, and format text on a slide (Keynote, Freeform, etc)
Copy and paste, import, or create graphics; change their size and position on an original work
Use painting and drawing tools/applications to create and edit work
Use the voiceover/music tool to improve audio and enhance the presentation
Communication and Collaboration:
Students can engage in structured collaborative projects that involve effective communication and teamwork.
Collaborate on a digital project or report with peers, assigning specific roles and responsibilities using online collaboration tools like Keynote, Pages, Notes, Numbers, etc.
Communicate ideas through online communication
Use teacher-developed guidelines to evaluate projects
Research and Information Fluency:
Students can gather information from diverse sources and synthesize it into a comprehensive report or presentation.
Conduct independent research using multiple online resources
Compile information
Create a report or presentation with proper citations
Use content-specific technology tools (measuring devices, environmental probes, sensors, and simulations to gather and analyze data ( i.e. in science use online weather tools and measurement tools)
Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making:
Students can apply computational thinking and problem-solving strategies to tackle complex tasks.
Engage in coding activities or logic puzzles using coding platforms or educational software
Solve mathematical problems and explain the steps taken to solve the problems with technological programs such as Dreambox.
Apply logical thinking and use technology tools to solve real-world problems with project-based learning
Digital Citizenship:
Students can demonstrate a deeper understanding of responsible digital citizenship through critical analysis and problem-solving.
Explain and demonstrate compliance with classroom, and school rules (Acceptable Use Policy) regarding the responsible use of computers and networks
Explain responsible uses of technology and digital information; describe possible consequences of inappropriate use
Explain Fair Use Guidelines for the use of copyrighted materials, and giving credit to media creators
Identify and explain the strategies for the safe and efficient use of computers
Demonstrate safe email practices, recognition of potential public exposure of email, and appropriate email etiquette
Identify cyberbullying and describe strategies to deal with such a situation
Recognize and describe the potential risks and dangers associated with various forms of online communications
Question AI-generated content for accuracy and bias, and understanding its role as a tool rather than a definitive source.
Technology Operations and Concepts:
Students can develop advanced proficiency in using various digital tools with increased independence and sophistication.
Use Google Drive to save documents such as Google doc, google form, google slide, PDF
Submit assignments through Google Classroom
Use menu/toolbar functions (font/size/style/line/spacing/margins) to format, edit and print document
Copy and paste images within the document and from outside sources (such as screenshots)
Proofread and edit writing using appropriate resources (dictionary, spell checker, grammar, and thesaurus)
Use advanced features of productivity tools (such as formatting, layouts, charts) in word processing or presentation software
Use spreadsheets to create graphs, organize information, perform calculations, and solve problems
