What is Career Technical Education?

Where does the Pathway start at SLHS?

All 9th graders are enrolled in a semester-long College & Career Readiness Seminar and develop a personalized 10-year plan used throughout your time here at SLHS.  The course provides an overview of the skills needed for a variety of careers, which better prepares them when selecting courses at SLHS and for their post-High School options.

What is an Academy?

Students must apply and make a three-year commitment in a cohort setting that is focused on specific career fields. In the academy, even core classes, such as English and History will incorporate techniques and topics from that career field.
