Greetings,
I am sure that summer is an exciting time for many of you because of vacation, time off, the beach, and all the fun summer activities. But we have another reason to be excited about summer. Our new first-year residents kick-started their rigorous booth camp and finished their first Tweed wire bending course. It was a pretty intense three weeks, but they all survived.
SLU hosted GORP 2021 at Union Station Hotel in St. Louis. It was a big success. We had a record number of attendants.
It was great to see many familiar faces during the AAO virtual alumni reception. Hope we can see each other face to face soon.

ABO Written Exam
Everyone from the Class of 2021 has successfully passed the ABO Part II written examination. Congratulations!
Remote Learning Room
We renovated the old resident locker room into a remote learning room. A 86-inch 4K interactive touch display is installed.
2021 AAO Virtual Event
The American Association of Orthodontists held its 2021 Annual Session completely online. It was held online on June 25 to 26.

OERF Meeting: Sept 24-26, 2021
Greetings All,
This year’s President, Dr. Sam Gentry is hard at work finalizing the details of our upcoming rescheduled OERF meeting. Our meeting flyer is not quite ready for distribution so I decided to send out this letter with some of the pertinent details so you can plan accordingly.
Meeting Dates: Friday, September 24th through Sunday, September 26th at noon. There will be a Board of Directors meeting Thursday evening, September 23rd.
Location: We are once again going to the Frontenac Hilton, St. Louis.
For the OERF Group Rate of $133 call (314) 993-1100 - Deadline for this rate is 8/13/21.
Registration is $400 for members.
I am really looking forward to “in person” learning again! Zoom was great but it will be nice to have personal contact. We have a great lineup of speakers. They are, in no particular order:
