SLU hosts 2019 GORP
SLU hosted GORP 2019 on July 25 – 28, 2019 at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel, drawing approximately 500 orthodontic residents from across the United States and Canada. Attendees at the 31st Annual Graduate Orthodontic Residents Program (GORP) enjoyed a variety of clinical and scientific lectures, social activities and sight-seeing -- as well as the opportunity to visit the AAO headquarters.

Dr. Ueno will be joining a group practice in the Chicago area -- but will maintain an appointment as an Adjunct Clinical Professor. Please wish him the best of luck!

SLU CADE Resident Study Space
The Archive room on the second floor will be re-purposed to a study space. The old records have been moved off-site. The construction is expected to be finished in the spring.
iTero Element Intraoral Scanner
Two additional iTero Element Intraoral Scanners were installed. These scanners will be used for Invisalign and orthodontic records as well.

Happy New Year! It is with extreme excitement that I introduce myself as the new Director of Development for the Center of Advanced Dental Education (CADE). While I am new to CADE, I have been with Saint Louis University (SLU) for over 8 years always admiring the rigorous Orthodontic Graduate Program and the community support in educating the brightest residents within the clinic. Many of you may not be aware, but SLU has embarked on an ambitious campaign with a goal to raise $500 million by the end of fiscal year 2021. In the coming months, I will be reaching out to each of you hoping to learn more about your time in the program and engage in meaningful conversations to find ways to support the Orthodontic Graduate Program. Now is the time to invest in our current and future residents of the Orthodontic Department and show your strong pride back to the academic program that invested so much in you and your future. Continued resources are always needed to train and educate top clinicians in the field of orthodontics, and continue to elevate the reputation of Saint Louis University’s Orthodontic Graduate Program.

2020 OERF Annual Meeting
The OERF meeting will be held at The Frontenac Hilton Hotel on March 6-8, 2020. Along with the Merit Award Recipient, Dr. Gene Roberts, speakers include Drs. Bjorn Ludwig, Neal Kravitz, Ki Beom Kim, Todd Ehrler, and for his swan song, Dr. Lysle Johnston.
Registration information will be sent to you via email and will be added to the OERF website at
