We live in an age where more and more smart devices and objects are being used in our homes - from Smart Tvs to Smart Fridges. There are so many benefits of evolving technology but using these devices can increase our risk of being victims of cyber attacks.
The CRIS unit focuses on a variety of cyber risks, such as viruses and hacking, but more importantly, we identify ways of safeguarding our devices and data from these risks.
We also touch on Internet Safety, concentrating on which data is safest to share online and the laws that are there to deter those using the internet to harass and bully.

Technology is ever changing, but at the heart of every device are very similar components. This unit looks at the fundamental parts of all computer systems and how data can be stored and shared with other systems.
Using BBC Micro:Bits, pupils build a mixture of simple display systems to more complex gaming systems.

Animation has been around for hundreds of years. From pencil drawn flip book animations to digitized feature length films, animation is used and loved by everyone.
Pupils will have the opportunity to build digital animations using PIVOT Stick Animator, moving on to more complex Stop Motion Animation.
