The library will be hosting a super hero themed program for the community that is designed to promote literacy and imagination. The program will take place in the library community space and will be free for families to enjoy as they please. One station will be an obstacle course in which families will have to jump, crawl and speed through to save the day. The obstacle course will be made of materials from previous programs including inflatable balls, pool noodles, and stepping stones from sensory storytime. The second station will be a craft in which children can use various craft materials to create their own unique hero mask. The third station will be super hero themed carnival games including cornhole, ringtoss, etc. A storytime will also be held at three different times during the program at 2:30, 3:00, and 3:45. This will only consist of only a storyreading with each time having a different super hero book being read. Additionally the library will partner with the local comic book shop to celebrate Free Comic Day which is celebrated on the first Saturday of May. The comic books will be free for all patrons who attend while supplies last.

Budget: 

$200 total for the program. Funding for craft supplies, decorations, and incentives for games. Friends of the Library will provide refreshments and snacks for the event.
