Here are the activities you need to follow for our Year 6 Unit on Programming. We are going to code using SCRATCH. You have already used this in Year 3 and 4, so you should know something about how to use it. You are going to use the SCRATCH website to explore coding.
Below are videos and instructions on how to get started. I cannot wait to see what you create.
When you use SCRATCH online, you will need to create your own account or use mine to save your work.
Watch this video so you know about the sort of thinking we want you to do.
Now look at the SCRATCH website ideas section. Here you will find some ideas for the sorts of things you can create and some tutorial videos you can follow. They do speak quite fast, so use the pause button and slider at the bottom to replay bits you miss.
Explore the ideas and try things out.
Experiment with different ideas for a while.
Next have a go at the Bouncing Ball tutorial. Follow the tutorial video and then have a go yourself.
Try and make your own game and save it for us to see.
This card should help you with the coding.
