Math Unit 3: Place Value

Place Value concepts

Students will need to recognize the different ways to write the same number: standard form (97), expanded form (90+7), and pictorial (with the place value blocks). 

Students will have to be able to write standard form numbers in expanded form and vice versa. 

Students will need to use >, <, and = to compare two numbers. 

Students will need to place a set of numbers in order from greatest to least or least to greatest.

Students will need to skip count by 2s, 5s, and 10s, both forward and backward. 

Students will need to problem solve with logical reasoning.
