Exploding Cube - Complementary Structures

Part 1. Ideation

• Exploration of your "exploding Rubik's" cubes and their different forms

• Must be in 2 or 3-point perspective

• Must consist all together 30 faces

• Leave all construction lines (faint), ie. horizon, vanishing points, orthogonal lines(lines connect the objects to the vanishing points)

Part 2. Perspective Presentation Drawing

• Without any construction lines

• Use no more than 3 colours or 3 shades/tones/textures to highlight the different faces and forms

Part 3. Orthographic Projections

• Label each of the 3 pieces and create an orthographic projection for each of the pieces

• Include scale and dimensions in your orthographic projection

Marking Rubric:

1 - Needs Improvement; 2 - Less Than Satisfactory; 3 - Satisfactory; 4- Good; 5 - Excellent
