This is my letter to some christian clergymen, though it is OK for common people too.
Hi,
I myself, at age 78, am now Buddhist, after being whole life an atheist. My first contact with religions was via Jesus. As an atheist at the time, and a Buddhist, now, I see Jesus just as a wise man, like Buddha, Gandhi, George Fox, etc.
I find Jesus social work and thinking (Do to others, what you'd like them to do to you) much more important than his healing, though this too was an admirable work. I admire Jesus so much that I even made my own version of his biography, fully based on the facts of Gospels.
Unfortunately, I don't find much of implementation of Jesus' testamental messages. But that's the life of the Society. Forty years ago I befriended a Jesuit in Belgrade, than Communist Yugoslavia, name (father) Kilbertus, deceased some years ago.
Since I immigrated to Canada, twenty years ago, I was looking for contact with similar people in Toronto are, but I did not find anyone. Maybe I was not energetic enough, but at least I never abandoned the idea to join such people.
Can you advice?
