The exciting water park in Thessaloniki is hard to resist.

The beaches of Halkidiki, with their abundance of golden sand and turquoise waters flanked by lush pine forests, are hard for vacationers to abandon. Knowing this, the masterminds of Waterland created an exciting water park with attractions so exquisite that families with children cannot help but visit at least once.

The options are irresistable with 150,000 square meters of slides and pools for every age level and interest. Split into thematic units, there’s the adventurousPirate’s Island, the adrenaline pumping Crazy River filled with zig zags and sudden twists, to Simvoli Slides for lovers of speed, the Tarzan Jungle where you swing from one area to another using ropes. Gentler options include the Kids and Zen pools.

The waterpark, located near the village of Tagarades, at the outskirts of Thessaloniki, first opened its gates to the public in 1994, becoming the largest waterpark in south-eastern Europe at the time. Since then, it has lost this title but continues to be a unique attraction in Northern Greece. An active member of the World and European Water Parks Association and the International Association of Amusement Park Attractions, the park has high standards of safety and hygiene.
