I bought a Wooting 60HE in the third round - roughly Jan 2023, and getting it April 2023. It was the first analog keyboard with rapid-trigger, and cost something like $300 AUD. Technically it wasn't that complicated, and chinese clones (and even Razer just doing firmware updates) came out a year or two later.
My old keyboard had Silent Durock Shrimp T1's. When the Wooting was released, there was only ONE switch type for magnetic that was compatible. In 2025, there's 4-5 now, which are much better. The WAF was low with the new keyboard - even though I was performing better in GAMING due to the better response times and analog input system, regular switches are quite loud.
So I did a mod where I implemented silencing a different way, using Permatex silicone gasket - it was $35 locally but i got it for $18.40 (and only used something like 5-10g/99g). I threw it out after a year since i wasn't going to use it again, but its a good mod!
Switch bottoms and springs - Generous 205g0 was used here to lube the springs and bottoms
You can see the blue gasket on the contact points of the slider
You can see the gasket (dries after 24 hours) on the contact points of the casing
I also used Krytox 205g0 as usual to lube everything, as well as some cheap switch films.
Below are the videos comparing to the old keyboard and new keyboard - the waveform is probably the best way to show off the sound reduction.
I later changed it to a simple metallic case, thick pbt keycaps and added a layer of rubber, which further improved the sound quality.
