Jane is director of TIMEDANCE, an early dance and drama performing group, which she created with the object of combining accurate research with overtly theatrical presentation. Timedance has performed at many international festivals, including the Tanzwerkstatt Berlin, the Festival of Israel, the Edinburgh Festival, the Innsbruck Festival, London's South Bank Summerscope Festival, the Halle Festival, the Utrecht Festival, the Berlin Bach Tage, Malmö's Swedish Baroque Festival and the Festival of Flanders. The group has also danced with many well-known Early Music groups, including Philip Pickett's NEW LONDON CONSORT and Stephen Stubbs' TRAGICOMEDIA.

Performance work includes a Commedia del'Arte show of dance, song and drama with HORTUS MUSICUS, and performances in Italy and Denmark of a baroque programme “Désirs Incertains”, and the commedia show “La Bottiglia di Vino”. Recent London work includes an animation of an “The Rudiments of Genteel Behaviour” for the Georgian group. Larger programmes include “Mr. Pepys and Mr. Pembleton”, based around the social life of Samuel Pepys, and “La Sallé”, the story of the baroque ballerina Marie Sallé and her work with Rameau and Handel, performed in Stockholm’s 18th century”Confidencen” theatre.

Historic houses work includes “bringing alive” historic rooms in Kensington Palace (Victorian Pantomime, 1730’s drama and dance), Hampton Court Palace (renaissance, baroque), The Wallace Collection (baroque), Museum of London (Victorian pub, baroque dance, 17th century fairground), the Queen’s House Greenwich (baroque), Handel House, London (baroque) and Skokloster Castle, Sweden (baroque).
